Work started at 9:45, so I got to sleep in a little. Work went by pretty quickly this morning, because I got my break a little late. Then, I got to go to a Keeper Seminar about Meerkats. It was really interesting to hear their stories about the Meerkats. They’re all named after rockstars! The Eclipse happened while in the meeting, but nothing was too crazy in Florida. I looked at the sun using a coworker’s eclipse glasses. It was neat, but not as great as I thought it would be. From then on, the day flew by. I spent time tasking, and talking at Entrance, Rehab, Research, Birds, Safi, and Savannah before the day was up. After work, I came home and made dinner. I watched a little TV, and am now Facetiming Rachel. Once we hang up, I’m sleeping! Training at MJT starts tomorrow! I’m really excited about learning the trail and the new animals. Hopefully, I’ll have a good story to tell everyone tomorrow! That’s all for today! Thanks for reading!
Fact: Meerkats mark their territory by urination. Things can get pretty stinky in a Meerkat colony!
